Canyoning chamana
It was amazing. We went with a group of four. The guide (Alberto) was very kind and he made the trip a lot of fun. He also took the time to take some pictures and videos. Aventura increíble!
Our guides were Mateo, Gerald, and Alberto and they were all amazing! They knew the river extremely well and we felt super safe the whole time which made it all the more easy to enjoy the crazy jumps, repelling, etc. They had great energy and made the whole experience more fun:) On top of it all, the river and waterfalls were absolutely beautiful the whole way. Challenging and Thrilling but safe. GREAT Guides!
My wife and I went canyoning with Ivagatours out of Banos, Equador. This was our second canyoning experience, having also done canyoning in Dominica. We are active 60 year olds and had no problem navigating the canyon with the assistance of our guides. What a thrill! Our day started early at Ivagatours office in Banos. We were greeted by smiling, friendly staff and found that we were the only two participants on the tour that day. Three young men were our guides and they were outstanding! Mateo, Steven, and Daniel made the experience safe and enjoyable during our incredible day. Following a 40 minute drive to the canyon, we found the river too high & rough to start. Safety was the number one concern. We were driven back to a small town (approximately 15 minutes) to a restaurant where we would also have lunch later in the day. After about an hour, the sun came out and we returned to the canyon to find conditions had improved and the river at a safe level. We donned wet suits, helmets, & sneakers and did 3 jumps of 4,8, and 10 meters, two rappels, and a float down over a small waterfall & zip line. Mateo, Steven, and Daniel did all the rigging safely with quality equipment. They were very knowledgeable and made the whole adventure fun. They were SO positive & we felt they actually enjoyed what they were doing. We always felt safe during our challenging but thrilling experience. Afterward, we were able to change into dry clothes at a local facility and then returned to the small village restaurant where we had an amazing lunch with a delicious potato soup to start, then a choice of local trout, chicken, meat, and vegetables. It was wonderful. Returned to Banos and received a link to a video of our adventure. Great memories. All in all a fun, challenging, and thrilling experience! Canyoning at Rio Blanco

Great experience for first-timers!
It was a bit rainy but it didn't bother us. It is actually the perfect activity to do on a rainy or foggy day since you get wet anyways and can't enjoy other activities so well. Our guide was called Matteo and he helped everyone in the group and made sure we had fun and stayed safe. He spoke very good English and of course Spanish too. They provided all the equipment in correct sizes, as well as transportation to and from the canyon. Our guide took pictures and videos with a GoPro and they were included in the price. Super value for money and very fun!
